An employer who hires a foreign worker without a work permit or who allows a foreign worker to work outside the scope of their permitted work is committing a legal offense. They are subject to legal proceedings and a fine of 10,000 to 100,000 Baht for each foreign worker employed.
If the offense is repeated, the penalty shall be imprisonment not exceeding one year or a fine of 50,000 to 200,000 Baht per foreign worker employed, or both imprisonment and fine, and the offender shall be prohibited from employing any foreign worker for a period of 3 years from the date on which the final judgment is rendered.
