10 Grounds for Divorce in Thailand
1. Adultery: One spouse has sexual relations with another person.
2. Misconduct: One spouse’s behavior is such that the other spouse cannot tolerate living together.
3. Physical or Mental Abuse: One spouse causes harm or inflicts physical or mental suffering on the other.
4. Desertion: One spouse intentionally abandons the other for more than one year.
5. Absence: One spouse has been declared legally missing or has left their domicile for more than three years.
6. Failure to Provide Support: One spouse fails to provide reasonable financial support to the other.
7. Insanity: One spouse has been insane for more than three years.
8. Breach of Probation: One spouse violates a written agreement regarding their behavior.
9. Contagious Disease: One spouse has a serious contagious disease.
10. Physical Inability: One spouse is permanently physically unable to have sexual relations.
