Deceive and take someone's property is fraud
Deceiving others by presenting false information or concealing the truth that should be disclosed in order to obtain another person’s property or to cause another person to make, withdraw, or destroy a document of title.
Property encompasses tangible and intangible assets that are subject to ownership and have economic value, including but not limited to money, real estate, livestock, vehicles, intellectual property, and title documents.
Fraud requires an intent to deceive from the beginning, but if the deception occurs after obtaining the property, it will not be considered a fraud offense.
 
Fraud, as defined under the Criminal Code, specifically Chapter 3 (Articles 341-348), is characterized by the following elements:
External components include
1. Who committed the act?
2. The act involves deceiving others by making false representations or by omitting material facts.
3. The victim is another person.
4. The consequence of the act is that it causes another person to be deceived, resulting in the transfer of property to the perpetrator, or the alteration, revocation, or destruction of a legal document.
 
Internal components include
1. Has general intent, meaning the act was done with consciousness of the act and at the same time the actor intended the result or foresaw the result of such act.
2. To have a fraudulent intent, seeking to obtain unlawful gain for oneself or another.

Fraudulently obtaining another person’s property is punishable by up to three years in prison, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.

If someone tricks another person into creating, taking back, or getting rid of a legal document that proves ownership of something, that person can be punished by up to three years in jail, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.

Fraud by impersonation is punishable by imprisonment not exceeding five years, or by a fine not exceeding 100,000 Baht, or by both such imprisonment and fine.

Fraudulently obtaining property from a child or a mentally vulnerable person by exploiting their naivety Punishable by imprisonment not exceeding five years, or by a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand baht, or by both such imprisonment and fine.
