Those who sell goods online must register for electronic commerce.

According to the Ministry of Commerce’s Notification No. 11 of 2010 concerning the compulsory registration of businesses, Section 5 stipulates that the sale of goods or services conducted via the internet must be registered, regardless of whether a physical store exists. This notification has been in effect since January 1, 2011. Therefore, the establishment of an online store requires proper registration.

Failure to register a business as required by Section 19 of the Commercial Registration Act B.E. 2499 shall result in a fine not exceeding 2,000 Baht and an additional fine not exceeding 100 Baht per day until such time as the registration is properly completed in accordance with the law.
